Oh, March. "In like a lion, out like a lamb?" Let's hope. As I sit her looking out my office window at a sloppy, brown backyard and the knee-deep mud horse pen just beyond, I can't help but think about the seasons and what a chameleon I've become. Much like the tree I'm named for, each season finds me in a different state. Today, I feel like I'm in the trenches. The trenches of writing a blog...

Unless you've known me for decades or read my page bio, you probably didn't know that I started my career as a writer. A crime reporter to be specific. Life led me to a job with an equine magazine then a short time in TV production before I settled into my current life as a portrait photographer. It's been a minute since I wrote but apparently, blogging is something I need to do. Insert eye roll. So....

Here I am. Full circle. Writing again. Why on earth has it taken me so long to do a blog? I have no idea. Probably because I can't decide what to write about first. I've had a handful of things I'd like to journal, but would love some input on what I should dive into first.

*My rookie year as a crime reporter

*The Chronicles of 5 generations of Southwest Colorado mountain women

*Weekly Momtographer Life
